Privacy Policy
Last updated 1 August 2026
Effective from 1 August 2026. This notice explains what personal data Bemount collects when you shop with us, why we hold it, who we share it with and what you can require us to do about it. It is written to the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 together with the Reasonable Security Practices Rules, 2011.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data fiduciary for this store is Bemount India Private Limited, at Sun 6, Migsun Twiinz, Eta II, Rasoolpur Rai, Greater Noida 201310, Uttar Pradesh, India. Questions about this notice, and any request to exercise the rights in section 8, should go to contact@bemount.in.
2. What we collect
We collect only what an order or an account actually needs.
- Account details — your name, email address and a password, which is stored only as a one-way hash and is never readable by us.
- Order details — the delivery name, phone number, address, city, state and PIN code you enter at checkout, your email address, and a GSTIN where you supply one for a business invoice.
- Payment details — handled entirely by our payment gateway. Card numbers, UPI IDs and net-banking credentials are entered on the gateway and never reach our servers or our database.
- Reviews — the name, email address, rating, written comment and any photograph or video you choose to submit with a review.
- Enquiries — the name, email address, phone number and message you send through a contact or enquiry form.
- Virtual Try-On images — where you use that feature, the photograph you upload and the image generated from it. See section 5.
- Technical data — the pages you view, your cart contents and basic device and browser information, used to keep the site working and to fix faults.
3. Why we hold it, and on what basis
Order and account data is processed to perform the contract you enter into when you buy from us: to take payment, to ship, to invoice, to handle returns and to answer you afterwards. Tax records are retained because the law requires it. Reviews and enquiries are processed on the consent you give when you submit them, which you may withdraw. We do not sell your personal data to anyone, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.
4. Who else sees it
We share the minimum necessary, and only with parties who need it to complete something you have asked for:
- Payment gateway — receives the amount, the order reference and the details you enter directly with it, so the payment can be taken and refunded.
- Delivery partners — receive the delivery name, address, PIN code and phone number, so the parcel can reach you.
- WhatsApp order updates — your phone number is used for order messages only if you tick the opt-in at checkout. It is not used for marketing without a separate opt-in, and you can withdraw it by replying or by writing to us.
- Image processing provider — for Virtual Try-On only, as described below.
We may also disclose data where a law, a court or a lawful authority requires it.
5. Virtual Try-On
If you use Virtual Try-On you upload a photograph of yourself. That photograph is sent to an image-processing provider solely to generate the preview you asked for. It is not used to train models, it is not shown to other customers, and it is not used for any purpose other than producing your preview.
Both the photograph you uploaded and the generated image are deleted automatically 30 days after the session, by a scheduled process. You can ask us to delete them sooner and we will do so.
6. Cookies
We use cookies that are necessary for the site to function: keeping you signed in, remembering your cart, and protecting forms against cross-site request forgery. Blocking these will stop checkout working. We do not set advertising cookies.
7. How long we keep it
Order and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and company law requires. Account data is kept while your account is open. Try-On images are deleted after 30 days. Reviews remain published until you ask us to remove them. Enquiries are kept while we deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards.
8. Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may ask us to:
- confirm what personal data of yours we hold, and give you a summary of it;
- correct anything inaccurate, complete anything incomplete, or update anything out of date;
- erase personal data we no longer need for the purpose it was collected for, or for a legal obligation;
- withdraw a consent you previously gave, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it;
- nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
Write to contact@bemount.in and we will respond within the period the law allows. We may need to verify who you are before acting on a request.
9. Security
Passwords are stored hashed and never in readable form. Card and UPI details never touch our systems. Access to customer data inside the business is restricted by role, and administrative actions are logged. No system is perfectly secure, but we will tell you and the relevant authority if a breach affects your data, as the law requires.
10. Children
This store is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly process the personal data of a child without verifiable parental consent, and we will delete it if we learn we have.
11. Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal data we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be brought to your attention.
12. Grievance Officer
As required by the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, complaints about the handling of your data may be addressed to our Grievance Officer, Bemount Head office, at contact@bemount.in. We will acknowledge a complaint within 48 hours and resolve it within one month of receipt.
